What is Powder Box Dreams?

Well, here we go! This is the first official entry for powderboxdreams! I’m sure you’re wondering what this means and what we’re all about.

I really feel that as girls, we need a place that is safe where we can tell each other our secrets, express the way things really are and share what we’re dealing with. We also need a place where we can support each other to reach our dreams, our goals and our aspirations. I’m so tired of watching girls and women knock each other down as they try to climb to the top! What if we helped each other and used each other as support? Wouldn’t that ultimately make us better as individuals, but also more powerful as a group of women? Wouldn’t it allow us to tap into so much more potential and success? Wouldn’t all of us reach our goals sooner and with more grace, power and joy?

So, that’s what we’re trying to do here and I hope that you’ll jump in and share your stories and advice!

If you’re still wondering, “What in the world is a powder box?”, let me explain. The word actually came from a recent book I published called The Powder Box Secrets: 7 Tips to Help Teen Girls Achieve Success. It sounds like a really funny term, but it’s really a symbol for so many things!

The Powder Box …

… represents our connection to each other.

… is a symbol of our power, strength, femininity, and self-expression.

… is private, safe, and revealing.

… is the keeper of our secrets.
