Summer Drinking

I was at a lake this weekend with my family enjoying the sun, water and beauty. My boys loved fishing for the first time (thank goodness my husband can help them because I really wasn’t into baiting their hooks with worms). I also enjoyed one of my favorite things, water skiing. One night my husband Steve and I were sitting on the porch looking out onto the lake as it was getting dark. Many boats continued to go by. The party spirit was afloat on some of them as loud music and laughter filled the air. Others were simple fishing boats. I thought of all of you at this moment.

I began wondering how many parties were taking place at this lake because it does have a reputation for that kind of thing. However, I also started to wonder how much underage drinking was happening. Do you think more underage drinking occurs during summer? I could research statistics, but I really want to hear from all of you. Do you drink with your friends? Is it more or less during the summer? If you don’t drink, what kind of activities do you enjoy instead? What do you think about underage drinking? Have you ever lost a loved one to a drinking related accident?
